Chapter 1 · The Beginning
It started in Northern Virginia.
Brothers David and Daniel grew up there. This is where the story begins.
Chapter 2 · Hampton U
A class assignment.
At Hampton University, Tatiana, a broadcast journalism major, covered Hampton’s version of Suzan-Lori Parks’s Topdog/Underdog for a class story. David Hunter Jr. played Booth, also known as 3-Card. Neither of them realized it at the time, but she had just met a ‘brother from another mother,’ and the start of something big.
Chapter 3 · THE FAVOR
My brother’s keeper.
Tatiana moved to Los Angeles right after graduating in 2007. Soon David called with one request: look after Daniel. She said of course, and kept an eye out for him until David arrived the following year.
Chapter 4 · North Hollywood
Villa California.
Somehow David, Daniel and Tatiana all landed in the same North Hollywood building, along with a full crew of other Hamptonians. It was college all over again: running the halls, playing pranks, making meals together, celebrating each other’s wins and dusting each other off after the losses. And dreaming together, always.
Chapter 5 · Coast to Coast
Life moved us.
In 2012, life took Daniel to New York. A year later, it took Tatiana back home to North Carolina. Three cities, but never out of touch.
Chapter 6 · 2019
The call.
For years, David faced health challenges that nearly took his life. In the middle of it, he prayed, “If You heal my body, I’ll tell everyone You did it.” By 2019, he was on the upswing, with a stronger body and a clearer purpose: he was made for more than just becoming an actor. That year, he called Daniel and Tatiana with a big idea. He was made for more, and so were they.
